Born and raised in Lima Peru, Ana Cuadra moved to New York in 1993 with a degree in Marine Biology to follow a film career. After graduating and with a BA in Film and Television, she started to work professionally as an assistant in sets for films, TV shows, music videos and commercials.
Since then she has worked as a Production Coordinator, Production Manager, Producer and Writer/Director for a number of companies including the Alcoholism Council of New York and the National Council for Drug and Alcohol Abuse for which she directed commercials that broadcasted nationwide.
She has worked on the sets of major motion pictures in a variety of departments with directors such as Penny Marshall, Spike Lee, Woody Allen, Oliver Stone, Joel Schummacher, Steven Spielberg, among other industry leaders.
Ana has written a number of screenplays, essays and short stories in both English and Spanish, one of them published in The New York Times.
